Shaggers Inn Waterfowl Dam
Shaggers Inn Waterfowl Dam is on a tributary of Little Medix Run River. It is a stop off point for migrating birds, as in Tundra Swans and Snow geese in the spring and fall. We saw a pair of Osprey with one of the Osprey sitting on the nest.
Construction of this area was completed in 1989 and has a normal surface area of 30 acres. It is owned by DCNR - Bureau Of Forestry. Shaggers Inn Waterfowl Dam is of earthen construction with a height of 17 feet. It is located in Clearfield County on Shaggers Inn Run Rd near the S B Elliot & Parker Dam State Park. Both parks offer overnight camping facilities.
