Beaver Run Shallow Water Impoundment is located in Dents Run, Elk County, PA. Beaver Run offers a viewing area at a shallow water impoundment with a field that provides forage for elk in the Moshannon State Forest. This viewing area offers wildlife viewing during the day for waterfowl, wading birds, deer and songbirds. There is a parking area that provides access to several hiking trails. In the spring, waterfowl, warblers and other birds can be seen passing thru for migration. Some of the birds that make nest there include the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Hermit Thrush and Ovenbird.
