On August 28, 2010 we went to the Allegheny Front located along the Somerset & Bedford County line. This site is sponsored by the Audubon Society. This is the beginning of the bird migration. Today we saw 1 Osprey, 1 Bald Eagle, 1 Kestrel, 1 Coopers Hawk, numerous broad wings, red tails, black vultures, & turkey vultures. Beautiful day, as the weather was high 70’s with a breeze averaging 5 to 8 MPH.
