Hawk Mountain Sanctuary - (610)756-6961 hawkmountain.org - In the Pennsylvania Blue Mountains, Hawk Sanctuary hosts the largest concentration of Golden Eagles in the East.. Between the time of Mid-August thru Mid-December, Golden Eagles glide along the ridge line on their journey of migration from Canada to the lower midwest Texas. In October 2006, over 170 Golden Eagles were counted soaring over the Kittatinny Ridge.
