Hazleton Mine: In August of 1963, two men trapped for 14 days in a mine cave-in reported encounters with angelic apparitions. After the apparitions, the men were no longer frightened and waited patiently for their rescuers.
Smurl House: A duplex house, built in 1896, was the seen of unexplained events. In January 1974, claw marks were found and an unusual stain appeared in the carpet. A television reportedly burst into flames and the one daughter started seeing ghostly apparitions above her bed. This entity could also walk through walls. The parents were sexually attacked and pig noises were coming from within the walls. Multiple exorcisms were performed, but not until one year after the Smurls moved out did the unexplained events stop.
